Jim MacDonald

Jim is a Town Planner and Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with over 25 year’s experience working on built environment issues within central and local government in the UK.

He was previously Historic Scotland’s Deputy Chief Inspector and has also worked for Glasgow City Council, North Lanarkshire Council, the City of Westminster and English Heritage’s London Region. He is currently a Board member of Edinburgh World Heritage, Chair of Old Town Projects Ltd., a Board member of Skye Connect and a volunteer with Planning Aid for Scotland.
