Do Coyle is Professor of Languages Education and Classroom Pedagogy at Moray House School of Education and Sport, University of Edinburgh. She is decorated by the French Government for her services to plurilingual education.  Throughout her career she has focussed on using technology to connect people across different spaces and places in order to enrich learning especially when different languages are used. More recently, leading the Shared Learning Spaces Team, she has been carrying out research into the impact of space on learning, which has become especially pertinent during the COVID years. Her research includes working with ADS to evaluate processes for sustaining high quality learning and to create a shared language to unite different stakeholders who design and learn in those spaces.
