Barriers and Solutions to “maximising the opportunities within the learning estate”

This workshop session will open with some reflections on the morning presentations, and then the speakers will each present a 5 minute story of different approaches to maximising learning opportunities within the learning state. This will set the basis of a short facilitated table discussion between delegates, and conclude with the panel reflection on issues and questions from the floor.

  • Lesley Munro, Scottish Borders Council: Building partnerships through the design of new spaces
  • Alan Paul, Fife Council: Building longevity and sustainability of community impact by using the learning estate to join the dots of local lives and learning
  • Vincent Spicer: Building capacity and wider curriculum experiences through the collaborative re-imagining of spaces we already have and the success of spaces we are building anew
  • Craig Clement, Education resources advisor: Realising efficiencies and opportunities through partnerships in places
