Good Learning First: In defence of children and technology

We believe in great learning. Great teachers. We believe in books, handwriting, play, debate, creativity, and the kind of deep thinking that only happens when a mind is fully engaged. We also believe that when technology is chosen deliberately, used purposefully, and governed properly, it expands what is possible for every child, especially those who would otherwise go without.

This is not a defence of screens. It is a defence of children — all children, in all schools, and in all circumstances. And it is a challenge to anyone who believes that the answer to flawed technology use is no technology at all.
