NZ and LEIP Lessons Learnt
Faifley Campus
Ruaridh Nicol, Associate, Holmes Miller
Faifley Campus is an ambitious new development bringing together education and community facilities within a single, vibrant building. A successful model for future learning environments. Designed to Passivhaus standards and meeting Net Zero Public Sector Building Standard targets, the project will serve as an exemplar for sustainable design in West Dunbartonshire. A unique part of Faifley history, the Cochno Stone, was used to drive the concept for the new campus, giving a strong sense of community identity. The project is also an exemplar of how collaboration with the supply chain was used to teach and upskill on Passivhaus design.
