Amanda Molloy and Laura Mitchell work collaboratively to design inclusive learning environments across North Lanarkshire. Drawing on their backgrounds as teachers using trauma-informed practice and their collaboration with educational and environmental psychologists, they work with architects, contractors, and interior designers to ensure that the built environment not only enhances teaching and learning but also promotes the health and wellbeing of all users. Amanda and Laura advocate for a holistic approach to design with a strong focus on trauma-informed design, they champion approaches that prioritise emotional wellbeing and safety in educational spaces. Their work bridges policy and practice, ensuring that the physical and emotional needs of learners are central to school improvement and design.
