Candice Aitken

Candice has over 20 years of experience within the ELC sector and has worked at all levels supporting to deliver high-quality childcare and learning. Successfully leading teams of people in a variety of childcare settings, both as a manager and a lead officer. She has successfully implemented improvement science methodology training programmes within both the public and private sector which has given her hands on experience of working with and supporting teams through change and improvement.

Candice joined the Care Inspectorate as a safe staffing adviser to support the sector to get ready for enactment of the Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act 2019.
