In 2018 Catherine was seconded to take a lead role, alongside the Head of Education, in developing the education brief and statutory consultation processes for the Calderwood and Winchburgh schools projects. From 2006 until 2018 she has worked in secondary schools within authority as part of the Senior Leadership Team including West Calder High School and St. Margaret’s Academy.

Catherine’s career in education began in 1996 in Aberdeen and Stirling where she taught for 10 years before moving to West Lothian Council. Prior to that she worked in the pharmaceutical industry.
