Chris Calver

Chris has been involved with STEM education projects for over 15 years. In 2008 he was part of the team that created the Toyota Technology Challenge, a STEM competition that
engaged tens of thousands of secondary school students in the UK. Following the success of the Toyota Technology Challenge, he then worked with Autodesk to create a CAD and 3D printing challenge based around the use of drones.

Chris has been involved with the VEX Robotics Competition and VEX IQ Robotics Competition since they were introduced in the UK in 2011 both in mentoring teams and providing training for teachers. In 2020, he joined VEX Robotics full time as UK Education Manager supporting training and curriculum development including delivering Computer Science courses in Scotland alongside SSERC.
