Freda Fallon
Freda has worked at the Outward Bound Trust since 2003, where she started following an MSc in Outdoor Education at Edinburgh University. Starting as a trainee, she gained outdoor qualifications and then worked as an instructor at Loch Eil before joining the Education team in 2009.
Freda grew up in Killearn, near Glasgow and went to Balfron High School. She studied Psychology & Business at Edinburgh following which she worked for Accenture Management Consultancy in London. It is this mix of interest in developing young people (through interest in Psychology), experience of working in the outdoors and business knowledge that helps Freda in her current role.
As Head of Scottish Education Partnerships Freda works in partnership with Directors of Education and senior leadership teams in schools across Scotland to plan Outward Bound courses to support their learners to realise their potential.
Freda has two young children and lives in Fort William.
