Helen Groves

Helen is an Architect with over 25 years’ experience in the Education sector, the last seven with Atkins, and she leads the Atkins education team nationally. She is passionate about the importance of well-designed education buildings and works with clients from pre-concept data & briefing to post delivery, to create exciting and engaging learning spaces.

Helen is an RIBA Schools ambassador, as well as a reviewer at the Department of Architecture and the Built Environment at UWE, as well as being an active member of HEDQF. Helen works closely with the Research & Innovation team at Atkins, spearheading the use of the Human Centred Design toolkit in both HE and Schools. Helen has supported Universities in post COVID planning including the development of a bespoke digital solution and is currently working with her teams to drive thought leadership on future teaching and learning spaces as well as the journey to Net Zero.
