Richard Cairns

Richard has over 26 years of experience within the construction industry at different levels of management working as both main and sub contractor. He has managed multiple smaller value projects simultaneously responsible for all aspects of the projects from costs control to client management and larger projects taking overall management of subcontactors & quality control.

A very focused individual who has a very keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt to any situation. Richard is currently working on the £65m Passivhaus Community Campus for Currie High School for City of Edinburgh Council and is responsible for managing the team to successfully deliver the project. Richard is keen to work closely with the local community on many inclusive growth initiatives, including the 'Construction Futures Construction Programme’. Richard is personally passionate about this programme as he aims to create an integrated set of learning and community experience for the local people.
